I'm really mad that I'm seeing this 4 years after it was posted and all of the kids have probably graduated and won't see this comment. Number one, the idea of making it into a music video was sick. I love the shots of Naomi walking down the hall doing deals with other students, so it wasn't like she only specifically targeted Justin. Somehow I think that by cutting it down, you lose some of the weight of what she actually did to him, but I love the fact that you took the artistic license to make it your own. That being said, one of the most gut wrenching moments to me is always the, "What did you do?" It was a very clever choice to have him be able to look Naomi in the face for that. It broke my heart a little.. Love Justin's voice and the fact that the dance he does is actually closer to the dance that the real Justin did (Justin Laboy was NOT a dancer, lol. He was an honor student.). I could go on and on about the narrator, Naomi and the cinematography, but I won't. I'll just say 💋💋. Because of time constraints I don't think the ensemble was given enough time to shine, but sometimes sacrifices have to be made. I love the fact that the pot shirt was replaced with a Hamilton shirt, but let's be honest, Hamilton is a more addictive drug. 😬😬 I'm just curious to know if any of these guys are still in the arts and/or if the faculty has posted any new creative content with current students.. I know I'm 4 years too late, but kudos to all of the kiddos, teachers, parents - everyone that was involved in this. What a beautiful and unique piece of art (even if it's a cover). 💕💕 Way to make it your own.
