I think what’s got to be mentioned is CJ and Conley are usually underrated shotmakers, and this stat (if used properly) could really change how game plans are made, and how transition defense evolves.

If the conversation is shooting, the answer is Stephen Curry

Desmond Bane is very underrated, insane off the dribble and not bad at all on catch and shoots

Mike Conley still underrated give my man some respect

Put Andrew in the game and he’ll create his own shots and be a catch and shoot sniper. That man is a bucket in the pickup games.

Dlo got one of the smoothest jumpshots I’ve ever seen, especially by a lefty. And if he gets hot it’s actually wraps, like Steph Curry level wraps

Off the dribble is definitely more valuable. It’s just a numbers game. You can get open by yourself vs needing 2-3 other people to get you open. It allows the rest of the guys to get open as well. Both are probably the most valuable tool in basketball besides maybe length

I value off the dribble more because like it’s harder to do and the defense aren’t keen to what you do so I would say Kd or curry or d book guys who can catch a shoot and shoot off the dribble

Playoff translation off the dribble is the most important. If dames game could translate to the post season, he’d be in conversations with Steph.

Every Celtic fan Sam houser was on track to beat the nba record for most 3s in a game but the he sprained his angle so he is good shooter.

It is insanely cool that this guy likes or responds to his comments probs to him

think you have to take in to consideration difficulty of shot as well for example luka 3 point percentage suffers because 90% of his 3 are self created

Taking one dribble and then shooting is also very different from initiating a p&r and then self creating or taking an iso 3.

And at the end of the day, you need both to be a successful team.

Love your vids man. Another solid take. I’m a huge Sixers fan. Would love to know some of your thoughts about them. Maybe you could make a vid of your thoughts for every team going into next season. Keep up the great work!

Steph’s always the obvious answer but klay Thompson shoots way more catch and shoot 3s but his off the dribble 3 is pretty underrated

Not even sure how this in a conversation. Obviously it’s more impressive/valuable to shoot 3s off the dribble and create your own shot. I’d argue being able to create your own shot behind the 3 PT arc is more impressive than being ab to knock down wide open shots in the corner, all the best off the dribble 3 PT shooters in the league can hit those same standing 3 PT shots, only difference is defenses give them more attention and aren’t just going to let a guard with a solid 3 PT shot sit wide open as often. But if Curry, Lillard or Harden catches the ball wide open in the corner, you’re expecting it to get drained. With the game on the line, you can’t guarantee a catch and shoot guy will get open enough to do so. But a 3 PT shot creator can win a game single handidly and force the issue themselves by shaking their man off and knocking down an off the dribble 3
