The Way the Truth and The Life: Is the Narrow Road too Narrow Minded? | Jeremiah 6:16 Bible Study

The Bible clearly says that only Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life. A, salvation narrow road. Does that make the narrow road to salvation too narrow minded? When Jesus says I am the Narrow Gate, is he, the Gospel, or the Bible intolerant? Why is the way so narrow? Is Jesus the only way? If so, why? These are all important questions. We’ll look at the answers in this narrow way Bible study / Bible Devotional through the book of Jeremiah, chapter six.

I'm starting to think about this verse differently after something you said. At times, I have thought about the "straight and narrow way" as an explanation of the difficulty of entering heaven. It never quite settled right as it did contradict other biblical truths. But, did Jesus not say that his yoke was light and his burden was easy? The way you said it's comparatively difficult kind of made me think about that in a different way and then that verse came to mind. Not to say the Christian life is easy, but you get the point. Thanks!

Good devotion today, thanks. I remember listening to a sermon years ago by J. Vernon McGee, and for some reason this stuck with me, but he said, "He made the way very narrow indeed... but wide enough for all mankind to enter in." It reminds me of the parting of the Red Sea. To get 600, 000 men (plus families!) across in one night, the way had to be HUGE. But there was no other way to get across - so in comparison, it was quite narrow.
