July this year I was very close to buying a Jeep Compass. It felt so solid and well engineered when I took the test drive . Loved the green colour too. Even tested the meridian but it was way beyond my budget at that time . I changed my decision only cos of lethargic sales team . Even if they had showed 50% of the enthusiasm I had, it would have been in my garage. Later I test drove the Slavia 1.5 MT and liked it equally. The sales team was so quick to respond and their attitude was very good. Got a good discount and three years service pack free.(just a bonus😅).Although I’m a sedan fan, compass was the only SUV (or crossover) which put a smile on my face. A fun and well engineered vehicle at a somewhat achievable price . The funny part was that the jeep guy got a hint that I had booked the Slavia, he immediately called me and tried to sell it to me . But the ship had already sailed and the sedan lover inside me went with Slavia .
Still I feel with this price meridian is a good buy . There is definitely scope for more with features and variants.
Absolutely satisfied with Slavia but still Jeep will remain as my go to suv if I had to buy one today .

It’s still unlikely to bring in the numbers Jeep is aiming for. They missed some key areas. First, make the second row a bit more spacious. Also, offer the 4x4 option in entry-level variants to attract top-end buyers of models like the Safari and XUV. And most importantly, add a petrol powertrain option. Last but not the least, add more service centres.

If they provide a 2 litre petrol engine then I'll buy one, but no way I'm going to spend money on a diesel engine due to NCR drama. If they launch a petrol version in next 3 to 4 months I'll go for this car or else I'll consider Kodiaq or Octavia.

I hope you have a reach to Jeep's upper management and convey this point.

Theres strong rumours about them leaving - thanks to not only low sales here but other issues that Stellantis as a groupn is facing globally - including low sales in China, Europe and worker strikes, etc.

I’m the owner of jeep meridian. I have automatic limited version of the meridian. I’m from Mumbai I have just owned this car a month back. This car has many problems and the service support are very bad. The average of this car in mumbai city’s is 5KMPL which I’m getting it guys don’t buy this car. It was my experience. Don’t waste your money in this car.. there are many more things so guys don’t buy it..
