Shouldn't they have hooked up a ground between the aircraft and the truck before fueling? Or does the hose have a ground on it?

Been there, done that, ground crew this is, long days, hard work with long moments of complete boredom waiting for the aircraft to come back.

Nice. I never made it up to the air tractor, but I have about 3000 hours in a Cessna 188 husky.
Looks like they are probably spraying timber with dry fertilizer or lime.
I know it’s a little early to be spreading ryegrass in Florida.
Looks like that crew out of Alabama or Georgia that sprays a lot of the national forest.

When do we get to see an update on your own project Brian? What you have done and what you plan to do would be nice.

C65 in Indiana has a lot of crop dusters come through for fuel and to fill the sprayer tanks. There is even an older unit with a massive radial engine that is there on the regular.

Thats a coating on fertilizer to keep it from volatizing.

“Crop duster” is a misnomer. They rarely have “dust” now. (This isn’t 1959 when Cary Grant got dusted by the paid hitman in the Stearman in “North By Northwest“.) They are aerial applicators (of liquids). I suspect this application was seeding. It’s probably the time of year for that. Farmers who know please comment/correct us. Here’s the scene from the movie (03:54):

Ok, that's officially the first time I've seen that. Is he seeding or something? It doesn't look like a liquid from here.

I don't get why we had to watch two crop dusters getting loaded. could have just shown the one. There both the same plane in which they are both going to get loaded the same way. Good thing there wasn't more of them.
