This episode we hit the road again and find our way inside the millionaires mansion that was once owned by two of the most powerful and influential families across the UK, with this estate being 50,000 acres that comes with 5 castles and 12 manors. We didn't expect much inside but to our surprise the mansion was packed with antiques and artwork from all over the world.

Nice to see inside this building but it’s not actually abandoned and is currently undergoing restoration. We visit the park regularly and us locals know that it’s hoped to be an art gallery of some sorts in the near future.

Wow so it looks like each room was rented out to artists, people renting rooms to live in, what absolute beautiful castle. Would love to know more history of that, absolutely beautiful

The place is not abandoned. No point trying to find out where it is as it's now being monitored due to items being taken from there as there has been a few visitors in the last couple of week. I live close by and some of the land is open to the public but the house is private property. Dates back to around the 1500's but the house as it is now is about 200yrs old. The original family who were very powerful and owned thousands of acres in the area but were also very powerful throughout the UK and owned the property up until the mid 30's and sold all they owned in this part of the country around the 60's.The family basically owned huge areas and their history is very interesting and still have vast estate and land in another part of the UK. It's been used for several things over the years, taken over by US forces during the WW2, local authority offices and agricultural college. It was sold about 10 years ago and it's currently being renovated to be used for cultural and arts activities.

'A staff member at the house said: “The filmers said on the film that they had done their homework and they knew the house was abandoned, which is a load of tosh. You only have to look it up on the internet and you can see everything about the trust. They have actually used information from the website, which makes it completely obvious it’s not abandoned.'

I recognize this manner and was actually just reading about it. It's really hard to recognize from the old pictures that were in the article because it looks nothing like the same house. Amazing really. I just can't get over someone leaving all that stuff there. There have to be valuable documents, photographs, and other historical things that should be kept safe and out of the elements.

Niiiice! As is the life of many of the rule makers, who tell us to work harder and be grateful for the crumbs that fall from their table. Van Hoogstraten might envy that if it was his neighbours house. Sorry if this sounds bitter, nice vid dude. 👍

The glass bubbles are Door Stops. I have two originals from my grandma and you see these in National Trust properties. Quite valuable.
