The budget per episode was close to $5 million, it really shines through, Clone Wars looks so good because they filmed it in such a cinematic style

I rewatched the clone wars as an adult and it’s like unbelievably good still. I loved it as a kid but it really holds up as an adult. It feels like an extension of the movies. It’s still George Lucas in the best way possible. It’s awesome. It’s funny. It’s tragic. It’s beautiful. It’s goofy. It’s all everything Star Wars ever was and ever will be to the people that love it. Cus it’s made by George himself with Dave filoni who was a student willing to learn and put the work in. Have to admire both of them. They’ve contributed to million’s of our childhoods and don’t even know us.

you realize how creative george lucas is. somehow it didn't fully convey on the big screen but it looks like the clone wars was super creative.

Just finished watching Clone Wars in chronological order with tales of the jedi and tales of the empire, very awesome and grateful for the amazing series. Can't wait for Ahsoka season 2, hope it doesn't get cancelled.

On my old friends 11th birthday we went and saw the clone wars movie in theaters. We went in as kids, expecting a classic star wars expierence. We walked out talking about nothing but the clones and how brutal Ventress was, and those of us who had already played Repiblic Commando for years because of our older siblings/uncles, we knew how amazing this series was going to be. I watched every single episode as it came out on CN over the subsequent years and just finished my first true rewatch last summer. I can admit, without a shadow of a doubt, that TCW is the APEX of star wars, and Rebels gave me that vibe all over again watching it for the first time with my kiddo years later...

03:10 Unfortunately, I felt that one of the biggest faults in Clone Wars (especially earlier seasons) was how the characters were always spelling out things that had already been made obvious by visuals or more nuanced dialogue before. That kinda gave it an unfortunate "we only expect kids to watch this" vibe at times.
