Such an iconic cover. I still have my original paperback when I bought it in High School.

Thank you for talking about this book. I just finished it with tears in my eyes. Truly one of the best stories that in the end highlights the power of the human potential

@BRIAN LEE DURFEE Reviews – The fact that you started with "Domo arigato..." had me laughing. I sing that to my kids all the time.

You got the rocketeer vibe on your video snap shot😅. Loved R Daneel and how he showed up in foundations

I've read 17 books by Issac Asimov, and The Robots of Dawn is my favourite. It just blew me away with his fantastic prose, characters and the tight mystery story. Classic.

This was the first Asimov book that I recall ever reading. I didn't know what it meant when it said a Lije Bailey & R Daneel Olivaw novel, but i was intrigued. And I loved it.

The Elijah Bailey stories are my favourite Asimov. Excellent Sci Fi whodunits. Sadly I have the more modern covers, trying to get hold of these older ones.

I read all of the Robot and Foundation books as a kid, many decades ago. I really liked them and need to re-read them.

But...but the metric system is awesome! 😊

I recently picked up Isaac Asimov’s Caliban by Roger McBride Allen. I can’t figure out where it stands as a part of the story or chronology.

If this was written in the late seventies or early 80s, he might have thought people would be using the metric system. I remember there being a big push for converting to the metric system, but people gave up by 1984 or so.

I'm looking for a story that I loved the audiobook but I cannot remember the title or author. I just know it was about a team of humans on a mission with one of them was a robot with changing body parts. It's driving me crazy. Lol

Lije is short for Elijah so it’s pronounced um, how do I type it… ah perfect: just click the various English ones on this page [deleting the link because my comment get auto-hidden so google it]
+1 for the Michael Whelan cover too. Long time Asimov fan (his fiction series were the main books I read and owned in middle and high school, plus the Dune books).

Curious if you read Asimov’s Nemesis and The Gods Themselves?
