I feel like the word diversity has unfortunately become toxic due to bad actors appropriating it. With saying that, I love the idea of more diversity. There are so many rich cultures out there that we aren’t always exposed to! But I don’t have faith that they would do their research and will fall short on representation. This may be due to game limitations and having it more broad than specific.

Finally even attempting these fixes 10 years later…it’s just frustrating being told they hear us and yet don’t seem to prioritize what people truly desire. I am grateful for some momentum in this direction, suppose the competition finally inspired them to get their act together

By “voting, ” they’re referring to the number of Me Too’s on the bug reports in AHQ. Thing is, they make it sound like they’re fixing the bugs with the most Me Too’s first, but that is certainly not the case. There are lots of bugs with dozens or even hundreds of Me Too’s that aren’t on the laundry list. I don’t know exactly how they’re prioritizing bug fixes, but it’s not just based on number of votes, that’s for sure.

Tbh I don’t want all diversity at once because it would be rushed and filled with stereotypes due to not being able to look deep into each form of representation. Having it be slowly ensures actual correct representation and respectful at that.

They just need to lean more into the cultures they add instead of just adding a world and some clothes and call it a day though

Honestly I'm fed up by this entire "diversity this, diversity that" in sims. It's great but how about concentrating on making the game function and fun at first!?? THEN you can concentrate on the diversity this and that. It's like all that I hear about sims is just "include this recipe, include this culture, include this fashion blah blah." what is the point if the game barely works.

Anyone think they just don’t know how to fix the problems that have been going on for so long? I have a high school years bug where only one student sent gets assigned tasks. This feature used to work before the LS patch so it’s been well over a month that I haven’t been able to play with multiple teens at high school. Every laundry list I’m disappointed to see that it isn’t mentioned. So I’m starting to think they just don’t know how to fix it so they aren’t acknowledging it…

It's more like EA didn't bother installing toilets in the house, and we all just used the floor for years, so it's not about wanting it now, it's about EA failing to do it right from the beginning and they are still not willing to reduce the profit margin and again return to a profit company instead of exploitation company.

The way they are bringing diversity in the game atm is not sustainable. When they have EPs focused on a new part of the world lately it has this feeling that the diversity and culture is a main feature when it should not. They use people's desire to feel represented and turn it into a marketing strategy. I am not okay with paying full price for a nice world and new cultural aspects included in a $40 pack, stripped of all its gameplay. Lovestruck is a good example of what shouldn't be done. I expect from a pack to be FUN before looking cute and EA clearly doesn't have the same priorities. So I hope they focus on making their next packs fun and full of gameplay before anything else (fyi I'm saying that when both my countries and cultures have never been represented in the sims 4).

3:34 come on now. this game will never be bug free. it was never meant to be the game it is and that’s caused a very rocky foundation, that can’t be fixed. it’s bandaids over bullet holes. they can fix it to an extent but i don’t see it ever being bug free

Honestly, I'd rather them take their time releasing more diverse content than just rushing it out. Mainly because I hope they take their time to really properly represent that group of people. I can not tell you how happy I was to finally get a world representing Mexico. As a Mexican American, the world blew me out of this world and I was playing in an environment that took me close to home in regards to family. The architecture also made me very happy to see. Though, I do want to see them expand more into African countries as we have yet to see anything in regards to the region of Africa in terms of environment.

They can put as much diversity into it as they want, this game was broken in 2014 at it's basics...

They need to stop selling more content when major things are bugged or broken. In the past we were lucky to get new content twice a year.

I just want base Game to be overhauled PLEASE. The textures of so many objects are outdated and blurry. Some base game couches look like plastic and don’t have the soft material texture as newer couches do in packs. With throw blankets and pillows. New artwork for bedrooms, living rooms etc. New beds, new toddler beds and kids beds for base game, just so many new furnitures.

Base game should also be given new activities like playgrounds, toddler swings, etc. but of course this will never ever happen because EA wants money It’s so gross how they pay walled a changing table when that kinder set IS BASE GAME. 🙄

Also honestly not just all that, but base game seriously needs new updated gameplay features . I feel so bad for those with just base game. Gameplay needs to be improved from family to drama and all that

Gameplay fixes would be more than welcome. It's hard to revisit or even play the game if it doesn't work. It makes everything else pointless if the game doesn't function.

I hope they update more just besides kits for infants for me I want functional toys for Toddlers and infants and of course packs aimed on family base like idk improve vacations explore like adding a banking system or multi functional lots bakery grocery stores add in a dentist careeer cause they could do that with get to work bring in fairy’s and they said they’d be working with companies about name brand items stuff and clothes also more functional items that go with preexisting packs such as dumbbells tricycles scooters and mopeds since we can’t have cars even spice up the occults besides the new expansion I’d really love if they stop selling us interactions that should’ve been there already but sigh these are only wishes
