I bought Black Sabbath Forbidden in the late spring of 1996, I was 16yrs old & I was just getting into heavy metal.
Back then, I knew absolutely nothing about Black Sabbath's legacy. I didn't know about Dio, Gillan, Hughes, Appice, Powell or really anything beyond Paranoid.
On the day I found myself in the music store flipping through the Black Sabbath selections, I had a choice between Forbidden or Mob Rules. I chose Forbidden solely because I liked the cover. As I listened, it didn't take long to realize this wasn't Ozzy singing. Regardless of how disappointed I was in Tony Martins' mere presence, I couldn't deny how much I liked the third track.
I will never forgive myself for passing up the opportunity to own an original copy of Mob Rules, but if I hadn't, I probably would've never heard Can't Get Close Enough. A true hidden gem from Iommi. Why does No Stranger To Love have more credibility than this?

For The Record: Top 5 Black Sabbath albums
5.Mob Rules
4.Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
3.Master of Reality
2.Paranoid
1.Sabotage

I will never understand the hate. This song is skin chilling, dark and heavy AF. Whole album is great, one of my first Heavy Rock/Metal records and my favourite with Martin.

This is the best song from the Forbidden.
It has airy riff and then heavy main theme.
Screeching guitars add.
Cozy is straight and hard hitting

I’ve always loved this album! Cannot understand the negative comments about the songs, vocals, production, etc. I think no matter what artists strive to do, there will be people who bitch just because they have to knock others efforts.

This album is totally underestimated, I'm sure that a new remix will give him the right importance! Sabbath rules!!! every line up... every record has his own pearls ❤

I never heard this album before 😮 it's amazing this vocalist can actually sing don't forget Dio 🤘. I love Ozzy tho forever he's gonna be the main vocalist for Black Sabbath. I love that he kicked out of black sabbath and he gain more popularity with his band especially with Randy Rhodes rest in peace.

Os álbuns com o Tony Martin são muito criativos

Dat riff at the beginning sounds like the typical modern metal song. Tony always suprise me, riffmaster!

Really cool track on an otherwise pretty average album. Nice classic Sabbath riff, good vocals.

Far too much Rap in this song for me.

...kidding. but that was the regurgitated phrase that followed this album.

I've always liked it a fucking lot. Even liked the funny album art illustration.

Great riffs, solid sound. .. i have no idea what Tony would do to "remix this failed album" other than the typical "get rid of the black guys " (ice t on track 1 and Ernie C as modern producer).

The "critics" were chumps and disingenuous back then and quick to disparage Tony having to sign on small label IRS, playing theaters and Sabbath while Ozzy was on another Bob Daisley /Mike Inez rollercoaster high.

There's literally no fucking rap on this album. Ppl too ignorant to check it out in this day and age when you don't even have to track a copy down and BUY it should shut the fuck up.

It's a strong, bold album with great vocal performances and relatable lyrics over powerful imaginative riffs.

This isn't "Sabbath by numbers" like the wannabe Sabbath album trash that was "13"
