One can argue that all Band Maid songs start as a strip down acoustic composition. Kanami usually composes on a keyboard, and sends a keyboard version as a first draft to the other members. There is a fan/youtuber, Alexej Bagrintsev, who has a series of great solo cello covers of Band Maid. Makes you appreciate the beauty of Kanami's music.

Great concert...wish they'd drop it on blu-ray but I listen to the audio CD. Kinda grateful for covid...had me spending more time off work and that's when YouTube dropped the M-A-I-D bomb on me 😁🔥🤘🤘🤘

This whole Christmas special acoustic concert was awesome. From them rearranging their songs to fit in acoustic style, to the rearrangement of band members on other songs, Miku singing lead and Akane playing the cajon drum. Well worth waking up in the wee hours of the morning to watch it online. Their behind the scenes commentary was funny as well. Had to get the CD when it came out.

Fun fact: Saiki picked the color palette and helped style all the members in this video. And seeing All the band sing in one song is worthy of note.

"stripping away the complexities" is the crux of the Saiki/Kanami acoustic duets they've been doing at okyujis for so long. And, I believe those duets are the genesis of this acoustic concert in 2021. Thanks for the reaction!
