While approaches in modern medicine have a proclivity to supplement physical ailments with artificially engineered solutions, Jill Helms explores alternate solutions that focus on restoring the body through naturally regenerative means.
Jill Helms is a professor in plastic and reconstructive surgery in the department of surgery at Stanford University's School of Medicine. Her main research interests are in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. Jill has a strong interest in mentoring students, and has used television programs (Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, BBC), YouTube lectures, podcasts, profcasts, and high school outreach programs to reach students of all ages.
