Artist Guitars: LP6G CIMMERIAN

The LP6G offers a modern and performance driven take on the old faithful. HEA active pickups, jumbo frets, 12" radius, mahogany body and neck, eco-rosewood fingerboard, gold-coloured hardware and locking tuners make this guitar an easy and great sounding ride for most styles but mainly geared towards heavier pursuits. Value for money? Absolutely. Artist Guitars instruments often come through for demonstration but I had to look twice at the price of this one. I think the LP6G is a steal. It's available with or without case. Rock on.

Artist has always been good value guitars but this one surely punches above it's weight. I generally don't dig active pickups but these seem to have some character clean as well in shred mode. Noice!!

I just purchased one of these this morning. I usually play the higher end brands but I’m giving something new a crack. Great reviews on this and it seems amazing. The LTD EC-256 Eclipse has the exact same specs and is $699!! Obviously different brand pick ups but I can’t wait to try this guitar next week when it arrives.

1:18 Interesting. This guitar isn't listed as featuring locking tuners on the website. Did Brett get a slightly modified version of the Artist LP6G, or did they release a revised model more recently and forget to update that on the specs list? 🤔

Ive been buying artist guitars for ten years and they were your typical budget guitar back then. I recently bought the TC59 telecaster and the gold top with P90's and they are awesome guitars. Set up is perfect straight from the box. Artist guitars are highly recommend.

As much as we contest and compare passive pickups, if we “turn things around” a bit..: an active/electronic pickup can be fine tuned to cover so to speak everything any passive pickup can do (or the same could be done through the use of signalling processing techniques/methods). Artist guitars and other active pickup guys should incorporate a battery indicator to know when the “9-volt” starts going down etc (or maybe bring on the solar panel technology on guitars.. etc) This active pickup demo guitar tells it all. Vintage will always be with us, as we ourselves “vintage along..” but the newbys will follow new tech.. (e.g. all new cars use computer technology and the consumer just has to suck it up.., not so)?

Bought one of these a couple of months ago, primarily thanks to this video. It's a nice guitar, but mine wasn't set up very well at all, lots of work to be done. Also seemed to have some kind of white waxy substance on the body, which really stood out against the matt black. And hilariously - there was no strap button installed at the neck at all! It's good value for the price, heaps of sustain, but it doesn't stay in tune if you dare to bend a string. If it came with Grover Tuners it could almost compete with a Epi Les Paul Prophecy.

I received this guitar Its nice, But found there is a bit of noise compared to my other guitars. Also the strings were not wound on the machine heads long enough as I was tuning it the string came off due to being too short. I opened the rear cover plates and there is no Shielding paint or shielding copper or foil tape. I think they need to put that in to stop this noise.. I think they made sure they customized your guitar and made sure there is no fault for you YouTube review! They should apply or install copper shielding to all their sales on electric guitars! AND Check the damn strings are installed properly and not too short! My guitar purchase was QC by LEO! So Leo pull your fingers out and Qc things properly!
