take it from an Albanian who can trace his lineage at least 5 generations and recently did a 23 and me test. These is absolutely no distinction between Albanian DNA and Greek DNA ( specifically the Peloponnese region ) Ottomans, Communism and now politics have unfortunately separated us.

Albania was part of ancient Greece.Greece was a geographical term that contained at times 40 kingdoms and self-governed areas at any given time and Albanians are Greek.Our national uniform that the Evzones wear, our cuisine, customs, traditions and family code are the same.Greece was under ottoman occupation too.A big part of Greece was Albanian speaking including the region of Athens-Attica and a lot of people still speak Albanian at home.

Albania is Not mostly muslim. The practicing muslims are less than 30% . Albanians are mostly Christian and very tolerant about all religions. Even the ones considered muslims are very different from the muslims of Pakisran, Siria or other nations. They choose to have only the good aspects of the religion and not the hate towards other faiths like the islamists of other nations.

Hi everyone, it seems to me that my people and the Albanian people are very similar! We have unique languages within Indo-European, we have similar folk dances, we have large diasporas in other countries, there are stereotypes about us that we are criminal, our countries are not in the best economic times, but we can find reason to rejoice, our peoples are very patriotic, we are faced with similar geopolitical problems.
