Im a Muslim revert in my heart its been 3 or 4 month but officially took my Shahada on
friday 13 of decembre 2024

so i am a mexican american and yes my family is catholic and i was never a church person but went to couple of time but this year i been studying how to speak urdu / arabic because where i work at there a lot of desi and muslim people and meet this good friends and who i appreciate and told them i would speak arabic/ urdu and now i got my curiosity about islam and the quran and i just started my journey reading the quran and practice their religion. I honestly like the Quran and everything. I am taking my time and learning.

My sister in law is a Mexican American revert Muslim. And she is great. Always have a hijab on when I come to visit and very respectful. Even though she is a nice person, she told me Islam made her better person. Alhamduillah.

I am also a revert of German-Italian descent, but because I got to know Islam through Turks, I was often accused by non-Muslims of denying my origins and becoming a Turk. In reality, Islam is sent to the whole world, just like our sister said in the video.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“There is no difference between an Arab and a non-Arab except by piety (Taqwa).”

This hadith shows that Islam does not prioritize cultural or ethnic differences, but instead emphasizes the piety and righteousness of a person.

As a Mexican 🇲🇽 born Catholic I 💯 % understand your journey. I remember my father once found me praying I panicked when he asked what I was doing and the first thing that came to mind was YOGA!!! 😅
I am now almost 11 years strong as a Muslim Alhamdulillah
My mother passed away last thanksgiving about a month after taking her shahadah
May Allah be pleased with her, forgive all her shortcomings, and accept her into Jannah Firdaous❤(say Ameen)
I have high respect for all my sisters in Islam but the most respect to all my revert sisters I am always on look out to protect any of you as a duty in Islam❤
