I don’t speak to any women ever. I don’t open doors either. If two of us are approaching door I will either speed up or slow down to avoid the door. I don’t use my phone to avoid them but I have large noise canceling headphones where I listen to podcasts. So I usually have a look of staring off into the middle distance. I only lower the headphones if I’m walking slow in Manhattan because it’s crowded. In that circumstance you want to be aware of your surroundings for safety. I get my coffee at the street cart outside of Starbucks. Cheaper and quicker and I don’t have to stand there. I just don’t want to speak to women any longer. At work I let other senior people speak and mentor the young women. I speak to my office manager only who is my age. I don’t go to gyms any longer. I took up road cycling and set up my own gym and virtual cycling studio at my home. I don’t even do Peloton I chose Zwift virtual cycling as it doesn’t require watching teachers or whatever. Women in manhattan will tap me when they think my backpack is open even when I have the large headphones on but what they are seeing is an outer pocket for my small umbrella. It looks open but it’s not. I will say thanks and make a bag flip like I’m closing it so they don’t feel bad but I never stop walking or even turn fully around. I sometimes take the next elevator cab if women are loading in with no men at all. I got a message from bumble to verify my photo . But it was the free version. I never verified so it froze the account I think. I deleted that. It was depressing
