Saw the shutr solution live and it is the best solution I have seen sofar. Compared to pneumatic gates it is much cheaper. It is clearly meant for the professional and semi-professional workshop who have serious dust collection. Great info Dennis, keep it coming.

I was part of a team who developed an auto blast gate system a few years ago and using an automated system is so liberating as Dennis said. During our development we discovered blind end blast gates as these are eventually give problems and Clearvue found the same which is why their BG's have small leak holes in the blind end to clear the dust build up so just be aware of it if you start to encounter problems. The software side looks very interesting just like the GRIT system in the US. Felder in Australia approached us at one stage because the blind end BG's they were using were giving so many problems they had to look for other BG's to replace those they were using. This sort of affordable automation will encourage more woodworkers to install proper ducted systems and that can only be good for their health.

It’s brilliant Denis and in an ideal world most hobbyist woodworkers would love these. But I am sorry to say this, but in no way can you call this affordable. Especially if you require at least 4 or 5 of these and if you only have two blast gates then definitely no need. Love your programs Denis and the fact that you show “normal” every day woodworkers tools and ideas that most could strive for. But and I hate to say this, if you go down pushing these type of expensive tools, then a lot of people will just turn off. You see this with many of the Super woodworkers in the US that push very expensive products because of the sponsorship and lose the attention of what the normal home woodworker can obtain. Again been following you for a number of years, but these blast gates albeit fabulous products are a bit too far for most home woodworkers.

Ziet er goed uit, mooi stukje engineering uit Nederland! Het is inderdaad niet goedkoop, maar kwaliteit kost nu eenmaal iets… 🇳🇱

Are you using the blast gates for the Camvac system as well? I follow your channel and thought you only used the Camvac as your dust extraction but based on your video are you currently using two dust extraction systems and how are they different.

Hi from norway! I am building my ovn wourk bench at the moment and stumbled upon your Chanel, witch is awsome. I chose valcromat as my topp, but i am not shure how it would stand up to wood glue, is it easy to clean up? And did you finish it with something?

This is for when your shop is so large that you needed a vehicle go switch the gates.
My shop is so small I can almost touch opposite walls if I spread my arms. 😂

awesome system. curious to see what this product does for the electricity bill. our dust collector runs almost 24/7 because my partners can’t be bothered to turn it off…

The price from Sweden is even more like €400 if you try and buy the controller from Sweden. That's a pretty big markup.

Nice product, pricing is relative to the individual. I find the pricing mounting as you stack complementary components but overall nice product. I’m nowhere at the level of justifying a purchase.

Do you know if SHUTR is looking to supply the US market. I was on the site and saw that it’s only Europe at the moment.

Nice that it is affordable for the home user.

60 blast gates would say to me that it is a professional shop, in which case multiple machines would be in use at any given time. I think at this price point it is more for a professional shop. Me personally, i'll enjoy the short walk and manual opening of my blast gates, and treat it as some much needed form of workout. There's something inherently wrong with the human race these days where we are being constantly sold things we don't really need. Love the channel though Dennis, keep up the good work.

Hi Dennis. Have you looked at the iVAC system? I’d been interested to hear your thoughts comparing the two. I’ve put this in and have been very impressed with it.
