It's a well known fact that school trip season is one of the BUSIEST times in the calendar of UK Theme Parks! So... join me as I react too a very overexaggerated news report and trip advisor reviews during this busy period across UK parks including Chessington, Thorpe Park, Alton Towers Resort, and Lego Land Windsor! It's certainly interesting to look at the bad reviews during this time and see what the general public think to the parks when packed with school trips! Merlin parks are extremely good at replying to online trip advisor reviews and offer dissatisfied customers other options and follow them up on a case by case basis. I tell you what some reviews are like a drama performance!

If you visit during school trip season expect to hear a lot of: "OMG it does a loop de loop what if it falls off the track??!!" and "You're telling me I need a fastrack ticket to join the fastrack entrance?" Oh and don't get me started on the time some girl told her friends that Rita used to be called the queen of speed because it opened as the fastest roller coaster in the world. Like, girl, it was never even the fastest in the park.

I was at Towers today, Rita kept going down and the longest ride I waited for was Wickerman at just under 2 hours so my group and I decided to get fast passes for Nemesis, Galactica and The Smiler but after 4pm the queues started going down

Operations and delays have been a huge problem at Towers recently. I did a week of work experience there a couple of weeks ago and the rides I worked on (Oblivion & 13) broke down quite frequently due to really weird reasons, and a lot of people were far too annoyed that they could not get on a ride in the first 5 minutes of the day.

That's why I go to Theme Parks when the Schools are back, you know, off peak seasons, because it's so much quieter, less queuing etc.

Went to thorpe 2 days ago, queues got a bit high at times but with good use of single rider and checking queues I got lots of rides in. 3 on hyperia, 2 on swarm, 2 on colossus, 1 on saw, 1 on inferno, 1 on samurai and 4 on stealth (as i got to lap it 3 times after park closing when there was no queue lmao)

you're spot on with chessington. went on a trip yesterday and only had time for 1 ride.. waited 50 minutes to be told the dragon log flume required an adult with you to ride. all good rides were 60+ minute queues

My friend went to towers a few days ago and the availability was horrible. Loads of rides were shut all day, and he got on ONE ride all day. He managed to get his money back

I went alton towers today i spent just under 2 hours for nemesis and 10 minutes for single rider smiler and it said 80 mins for 13 but spent 30 mins!

Legoland having long ahhh cues without fast pass in summer is expected lmao, with fast pass we a walk on a good few times

When i was there the queues at Alton towers didn't reach 1 hour. Nemisis didn't peak above 25 mins. Smiler reached only 1hour. The day was so quiet i got 4 rides in an hour

For school trip season for lego land has been the quietist ever having most rides including minifigure speedway being a amazing 5 mins all day and pirate falls being the longest line of the day being 40 mins due to the weather.😃😄

I’m going to Alton Towers Sunday, should i be worried 😢😢 I went to Thorpe Park a couple weeks ago and the fast pass lines were longer than the normal lines! We’ve got fast passes for every ride except for nemesis so… we may be screwed

I went to bpb with school on Tuesday, went on 3 rides. Infusion queue wasn’t bad but then I had to wait 40 minutes for revolution, then saw icon was on 80 mins but wanted to go in it so went to the queue which was just bundles of people that went all the way down to the avalanche. With all the groups of people and queue jumpers it took me 2 hours and 45 minutes to get through the queue. Absolutely ridiculous
