Forest conservation Act, 1927
Energy conservation Act, 2001
The Water (Prevention and Control of pollution) Act, 1974

We do not have an exclusive legislation related to climate change per say but we have National action plan on climate change which forms the bedrock of climate sensitive policies of India. Apart from this many ssues specific legislations are also present related to waste management, pollution control, Environment protection act etc. We also have a specific authority called National green tribunal which acts promptly with respect to the climate change related matters in general. Thanku

44:17 ... Sir affirmative action can be such that "Reserved subsidies" can be given more to those who are so called socially and educationally backward .. for example they can be given access to coaching centre, education study material with less or no cost .. basically, with due respect to all sc st OBC ews aspirants, provide better infrastructure facility better coaching with less or no cost so that they can compete better .. Just a suggestion sir ..

No we don't have specific climate law
However, various laws such as Environmental protection act 1986, Forest policy 1980, pollution acts such as water, air and Environmental impact assessment
Other such as forest conservation act govern climate change
Recently, supreme court in land mark judgement, however held "right against adverse effect of climate change"-thus bringing new era of climate jurisprudence
Staggered approach and strained center state relations (land, forest is state subject) is hindering climate change law in india.

Unfortunately, India does not have a comprehensive law addressing climate change. There are separate laws and bodies that deal with environmental and ecological issues (deforestation, pollution, etc.) one such is The Environmental Protection Act of 1986 is the most important legislation with respect to climate changes in India.
