Amazing effort to do it in a day, been trying for a while. I think consensus is now E6/7 with that lower gear you've used (and I use as well), which has only developed recently. To get E8 I think is to climb to the peg without any gear below apparently, which obviously no one does. Still that run out at the top is mega!
