Before you put thumbs down to this performance, please show us what you can do. I am a jazz guitarist and I always keep this Pat Martino quote in mind when I play. This applies to any kind of music. "True Music, like all true Art, is an experience to be shared, not judged, for praise cannot make it better, as blame cannot make it worse"

At the lowest point in my life, Bach gave me the will to live on

I can’t believe that people actually dislike these performances. They are so inspiring and beautiful.

Let's not forget about Bach himself. He was the Genius who felt all this wonderous music in his heart.

As guitarists we’ve heard this suite a lot … but the phrasing and musicality of the performance makes it a delight to listen to again. Thank you Sir, for this lovely recording!

Love how he wore dark colors to keep the guitar as the primary image. Incredibly clear recording quality. Memorized the entire piece. And the playing is masterful.

Hairs on the back of my neck standing welling up with joy/melancholy..check. Utterly exquisite.

I think that John Feeley is one of the best examples of Bach interpretation on classical guitar alive today.

Over 19 minutes… wow. I can’t think of any other piece longer on classical guitar. Its not just memory. Its training the hands to naturally and unconsciously play what they are supposed to and when, without having to think about it. Then its played effortlessly. That is true mastery, what you see here!

Feely's tone and technique is unsurpassed. So clean, every note rings out.
A true master!

As a cellist, i have to say this is very enjoyable to listen to...almost as enjoyable as the cello

John Feeley and John Williams, both are greatest guitar players.

You have me in tears Sir. Tears of joy to hear this played as the way it was truly meant for my ears to hear. This is a song that plays like several tense moments of my life. I thank you for being true to yourself. I thank God for this sound and our life. Cheers.

We should be grateful. We only need to click once and spend a few minutes to enjoy those masters' efforts of years.

John Feeley is certainly amongst the best classical guitarists in the world. His playing is technically perfect. I have nothing but total admiration for his performances.

Mr. Feeley's performance was incredible along with a beautiful guitar tone.  I can imagine if J.S.Bach were in the audience listening, he would stand up and cheer.

I really enjoy the way Feeley gets out of the way and lets the "Bach" shine through, rather than imposing himself on the composition. It sounds like Bach himself would play it on lute. An orgasm for the ears and brain!

I keep coming back and listening to this over and over. It may possibly be the most sublime recording I've ever heard/experienced. From a fellow musician, thank you Mr. Feeley. I am in awe. This transcends and reminds me what WE are capable of.

I’ve heard this piece since I was a kid by many different guitarists (aside from the original cello version) and nobody plays it so refreshingly new as John Feeley. What an original! Beautiful dynamics and wonderful sound ornamentation.
