Is all breathwork new age?
Показать описание
Not all breathwork is new age.
Breathwork is simply breathing in a set rhythm or pattern, intentionally.
The purpose is to reset the nervous system and clear out space in an overwhelmed mind by offering time to reflect.
That’s the brass tacks.
If you are doing a guided session and the instructor is asking you to place your mind or consciousness on a certain idea or person that you aren’t aligned with cultivating in your life then turn it off.
Simple as that.
Most breathwork instructors are wanting to help your mental fortitude, not convert you to their religion.
Can breathwork be spiritual?! Absolutely, yes!
As you become comfortable with your body and reintegrate yourself after releasing stuck emotions or trauma — the relief you feel is real!
Think of it this way — whatever is lovely, pure, admirable, honest and true: think about those things while participating in breathwork.
Even better — don’t think just feel.
Use your 5 senses to get grounded, to feel present in the moment and not consumed with anxiety or worry.
Feel your body making contact with the chair you’re on.
Listen to the birds chirping.
Feel the wind across your face, notice how it rustles the leaves.
Connecting to nature is humbling. I love how awe is provoked in me about the beauty of God when I focus on His creation.
Your breath is a gift, a tool to help unlock the mind and find freedom within.
This practice changed my life two years ago and now I want to help other women with this free tool to find levels of freedom physically and emotionally.
Have questions?! Just ask!
