Thank you for the excellent informative video! I am glad to have found an EU financial channel! Only one question: Am I able to search if the ETF of my choice is available on the Lang & Schwarz exchange prior to making an account on Trade Republic?

Thanks. As someone who wanted to start with ETFs, this looks ideal. The interest is also great as the banks are giving nothing.

Hey, Angelo! Thank you for the great content!
When you set a savings plan, does it buys fractional shares? Is there a way to avoid that, by setting some limitation to only buy full shares, and keep the exceeding money you set on the plan in cash? Thank you!

Hi Angelo, Thank you for this review. You actually convinced me of Trade Republic and I'm planning to follow your steps! Could you kindly tell me more about your experience regarding taxation in Austria when you file your taxes from trade republic? As I understand, it should be done manually un;like Flatex and this is the only reason I'm still hesitant. Is it actually that bad?

Great video, Angelo!

Question: do you think a good way to reduce risk is use Trade Republic along other brokers I.e. Interactive Brokers? You know, to not leave the eggs in a single basket 😁

Well, I tried going for trade republic, but their initial onboarding process killed the prospects overall. It ask for the passport as for ID creation/validation but then I had to give up after 5 retries over 1 week, because the app software just cannot process the ID information no matter how good photos you click. Have a look at their android store ratings (3.9 which is terrible) and you will see so many people having this issue.

Customer service is non existent is mostly a bunch of unhelpful scripted bots and after few tries, they will block you out forever. So that cut short my trade republic journey, and thankfully so. Imagine having your money there and then being locked out or unable to do things with this sort of customer service.

Great video! Regarding conversion rates from EUR to USD when using Trade Republic I check and on their website they said that there is a margin of 0.0015. Not sure this what implications have. If you buy a share USD ETF like the FTSE All-World UCITS ETF - (USD) Accumulating (VWCE) you would be losing a 0.15%? Also when selling it?

Great videos! Finally someone doing videos on how to invest in Europe. Q: Would you also consider Trading 212? Would love to see a video about your opinion :)

Hello! if I buy coinbase at 50€ then sell when it reaches 120€ and leave it in storage or buy another share but don't withdraw it to the bank, I still have to pay income tax or profit taxes are paid only when I withdraw the money to the card/ the bank?? thank you

Angelo, how much is the commission fee you pay for IB for example when investing 1000€ in FTSE All World ETF? Do they charge other fees, like exchange connection, etc.? I downloaded their app and used the demo account and it's not easy to find the ETF there just by the ISIN

I've a question regarding Trade republic I can see that all stocks are valued in EUR but am not sure if they do currency conversion for US stocks or as they use only one German Stock exchange, it already provides all US stocks in EUR already
also noticed that the market opens in Europe time and not like US market
any idea about that?

Angelo don't you think TR is better than IB as it offers most of the US stocks from European exchange so no currency exchange fee, 1 euro flat fee for stocks & ETFs, fractional ETFs option, possibility to transfer the account ( later for example to IB if needed), no extra commission when buying fractional shares as opposite to IB which has more commission for fractional stocks, ....
What do you think?

Wow sounds great. *With Degiro, for those that have a custody account you can opt out the share lending right? I’ve heard they discontinued it, but for the early birds I’m sure it’s still active?

And as to this new broker… Are you not worried? It all sounds a bit to good to be true, right? I will have to some research.

Thanks for the video!

Thanks Angelo!
Questions :
1- 4:01 : don't you have this savings plan feature in TR212 too, via pie chart with automated investing activated? I think they also support taking automatically the money from your credit card;
2- if you choose a monthly or bi-monthly frequency, can you specify the exact day number in the month?
2- what are the FX fees?
