Air Tahiti Nui Los Angeles to...Paris?!

Ok, I realize that flying Air Tahiti Nui from Los Angeles to Paris is doing it wrong, but I couldn’t resist. The best Air Tahiti Nui experiences are for flights that end up in Tahiti, but this was a decent flight - especially for the low price that I paid for it.

This is footage from TN8, just a few days before it was switched from an A340-300 to a 787-9. I was seated in 22D for this 10 hour flight, and the aircraft registration was F-OSUN.

The music tracks used in this video:

Cruise With a Breeze - Sight of Wonders
Every Second of My Life - Daniel Gunnarsson
Is This Over - Spring Gang
Trapped in a Maze - Philip Ayers
Unchained - Wai

You failed to mention that the flight originates in tahiti

A cold plane means no one passes out. If someone passes out it's an issue that no one wants to deal with. Landing somewhere unscheduled for medical reasons is a HUGE imposition.
Also, some aircraft just have cold spots, 3 rows up can be perfectly normal, 10 rows up it can be insanely hot, there is no way to control that.

But in the end it's easier to add more layers than take off layers.

Besides airlines like Lufthansa and Swiss, there are still quite a few A340-300s flying around. Really nice video! The International Terminal at LAX looks really amazing!

I love this airline, we always use it to make our connection in Paris over Air France. The plane has a unique vibe that not every airline portrays... I think they just have a gorgeous Island vibe.

The flight starts in PPT then goes to LAX and then to CDG. It's connected bc Tahiti is a French colony, not sure what's so surprising about the flight

❤️ LAX TBT (Tom Bradley Terminal). LAX is undergoing massive refurbishment/new terminal building to be ready for the 2028 Olympic Games. They’re also building an automated people mover 2.25 mile elevated guideway with 6 stations and I understand it will connect with metro light rail and bus systems.

Though I might skip the meal on this one.

Great video again SANspotter and the renovation of the LAX International terminal from the last time I was there is incredible to see! Keep flying and greatly appreciate your videos!

I'm here and watching this vid for 2 reasons: 1; SANspotter's content is good as always. 2; Someone is mad at me on another YouTube vid and I watch this to escape this sort of anger (sometimes I troll back, but it's no point)

I'm so glad you got to fly on one of their last flights on the A340! It's such a cool plane and I'm pretty sad that it's being replaced by the 787-9.

Honestly Scott, it's my first time of hearing about Air Tahiti Nui and it's $300 Economy Class ticket. That's incredible for that kinda distant flight. Great video as always.

Hi Scott!

It has been a while.. how have you been doing?

Great video as always :) i have been eyeing this flight in the past as well as flights are just 300EUR one way. Looks like you had a good flight in this old school A340!

Regards,

Brendan
