Wool Harvesting Training - Wool Handling Basics

Показать описание
This video explains the reason why we remove the various wool types into separate lines, with carding wools, such as, crutchings, stain, short skirtings, high VM belly lines, locks & lambs.
Carding wools are defined as wool types less than 50mm in length. These wools are carbonized and processed differently to the longer wool types. Combing wools are greater in length than 50mm types such as fleece wool, skirtings and low VM belly wools. Other wool types can include - Longer lambs and weaners wools as well and these longer combing wools can be processed with machinery, these types of wools become wool tops, both open tops and sliver tops.
