Excellent production, super high quality. Definitely true I'd never heard of him, which is interesting considering how powerful he was. I suppose maybe he was lost to the sands of time under Blackbeard's shadow or people wanted to forget about him because of how terrifying he was.

In the early 1700s he joined Blackbeard's crew as his lieutenant and was there for Blackbeard's death at the hands of Lieutenant Robert Maynard. Following this defeat, Black Caesar was captured with the surviving crew by Virginia colonial authorities and was hanged in Williamsburg in 1718.

I've just found your channel. Looks like a very good start, with the ones you've covered so far!
It's fascinating that pirates have existed, for almost as long as people have being going to sea- yet we only really think about two/ three periods for them; the Vikings - 'the Golden Age' (the late 17th c- early-mid 18th c) - modern age pirates that lack the romantic tinting with which people view their earlier counterparts.

I hope you cover some of the older, less known ones- like Teuta, Queen of the Ardiaei, in Illyria whose people made a living from piracy & went up against the Romans
