I would love to have a Black Russian Terrier. But they are hard to find in America, especially from a respectable breeder. I keep looking for a Borzoi but run into the same problem. Hard to find and even hard to find a respectable Breeder.

Huskies are fun, but wont protect you. Samoyed's are not protective ether. I've owned both of them.

There are other Russian breeds - one is a Wolfdog blend. I cannot recall what the name is. I recall reading about the breeding program some years ago.

Also, the Volkadav or “wolf crusher” which has gamebred Pit Bulldog, gamebred Tosa (which also has gamebred Pit Bulldog blended into it) all blended into one of the Livestock Guardian breeds. The size is usually *HUMONGOUS* but there is variability from, say, 200 lbs down to maybe 115 lbs (just like Pit Bulldogs match weights are as low as 30 lbs up to maybe 65 lbs). I’d love a smaller one. Not sure what in Hades you do with it as it’s probably dog aggressive - Duh!
