Only time will tell. Butler is an in-house hire familiar with this defense and the players. Maintaining consistency and continuity in the staff and defensive philosophy is very important moving ahead. GBR

Rahmir is going home for the Pinstripe Bowl along with Cam Lendhart both from the NY area.

People complained when he hired Tony White, too. My only gripe, if you could even call it that, is that if this was the move, why didn't they announce it 3-4 days earlier and possibly curtail those 1-2 young defensive transfers that you might want to keep.

Always remember it could be worse. Riley, Frost. You can’t grade them until after next season. You have to give Rhule the same amount of time as we did Frost to grade him.

We would’ve been repeat offseason champs !!! Easy

Is Holgerson gonna be 60/40 passing running or 50/50 pass run. What will Rhule’s impact be ? I guess as long as we win it shouldn’t matter.GBR

My concern is that the DB's were a hot mess most all season. Not sure I would have promoted that guy.

How much "experience " did Mike Reilly have? Lots of mediocre experience doesn't mean you're qualified. This hire might work out. As a Husker fan for 44 years now i would love to win games and stop the revolving door of coaches. Ruhle said lots of big time coaches were interested in the DC job and He wasnt going to rush this hire! And i dont want to hear..portal guys.. because Ruhle knew the portal was opening on the 9th. We dont want to hear what sounds good, we want the truth. Was Butler the best guy? Or the only guy? And if hes really such a great hire, why does Ruhle need Snow to be Butler's handler?

Will the new DL coach teach them how to shed blocks and get to the QB?

I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt to a guy who has produced NFL All Pros.

None of us know if White and Butter were butting heads or if some of the secondary players were pouting that Cooper got canned.

I'm tired of everyone always blaming the coaches when a kid underperforms. It's a 50/50 deal between coach and player.

Agreed. Smells like a failure Satterfield hire. This show just needs viewers so of course they will talk great about Butler. Either way Butler has all this experience but yet no DC experience in the NFL. He had to leave the NFL to get that job? Now he’s using Snow as a sounding board? Any alpha male who knows what he’s doing wouldn’t need that. Bowl game we will get ran through. That is what we have to look forward to next year. Nail in the coffin for Rhule.
