Several players who can be improved upon won't go because we need to fill our homegrown quota; 4 trained by the club for 3 years before the age of 21 and 8 trained in the UK for 3 years before the age of 21. I believe that's the reason Holding has been given a new contract, the reason Chambers was retained while Saliba was sent out on loan and why Bellerin wasn't sold to PSG or Barca etc. The club may dress the decisions differently to the fans and the public but the rules are the rules.

Auba, laca, tierney, leno, gabriel and saka....the rest simply are not nowhere near good enough to get cl football or a title ffs...but imo arteta simply wont be able to convince top, top players...partey is about as good as we can get which is AVERAGE
