Feminism has never cared for the average woman. Even when they were fighting for the right to vote, most women didn't want it. At the time, in order to vote men had to take on certain responsibilities, such as military service. The average woman didn't want to take on those responsibilities and actually protested against it. The first women that were allowed to vote were military nurses in WWI, their service earned them the same rights as the men, for the same reason.
