Wow what an insight into the golf swing. In all my golf lessons over 50 years have never been taught or tried to comprehend this simple concept of getting a proper 'pivot'.
Last 4 rounds have been spectacular based upon the 'tailbone' concept and over a lifetime of hip swaying and inconsistent golf I feel very confident going forward. Best lesson ever - many thanks to Eric and Steve.

Two for two on your instructional videos with Steve. You guys make a great instructional team. Your explanations and his swing examples make me totally understand the swing concept you are explaining and so far the results on the course for me have been surprisingly good. Do more of these please.

I was literally just on the range and hit a large bucket with little to no hip turn resulting in tons of bad shots with no power or consistency of strike.
I pulled out my favorite club my 4 hybrid and due to my take back being different than my irons I felt my hips turning and found my power and overall swing again.

Im so glad you made this video Eric this really reaffirms the proper concepts we should all be practicing! Thank you!

I did a search to find this exact subject. Dozens of videos popped up, but I knew I would get the correct answer from Eric! Only video I watched.

Eric is terrific. His advice has helped me hit my drives longer and straighter than ever before.

Maybe one of your most basic and simplest videos, but probably one of the most effective. I am a low handicap player and have struggled for years getting this move correct. It’s easy to understand, but difficult to do if you are a swayer. Both of you guys explained it very well, and what to do to understand the concept and when you get it it is money for your swing. Well done.

Fantastic video, guys! Great visuals. Especially like you pointing out what to look for if its overdone. Nice job!

Great vid--been working on more shoulder tilt and hip turn in bswing but not seeing it on my camera. I know about how the trail hip should move back and around but I tend to lose it when I'm focusing on other things!! Your comment that it should be on your 'short list' of things to do is very true!

Excellent lesson, solves many backswing errors and adds power when you straighten the left leg coming through. Thanks

This video is great!! Will you do another one about what the hips should do in the downswing?

Hi Eric, this is by far the best lesson I have had for the hips and legs in the backswing. As a perpetual swayer, I have actually been working on this for the past few months and the difference in ball striking is amazing when you can get that sacrum to the left and feel the flex in the right leg and straightening in the left. The fear has always been going too much to the left but as Steve said I am probably not doing enough of it. One question, are the movements the same for long clubs like the driver or any modification needed. Thanks again for the great lesson !

Masterful, this was missing as I took the lesson trying to turn the right foot into the ground and move it from 12 oclock to 3 oclock. What I was missing was trying to feel my left hip move towards the target. BINGO! It WILL feel like your tilting towards the target but video your swing and you will find out you are not. Thank you!

This was awesome. Really think my issues are lower body related. Thanks

Would you say same hip turn and no sway for Irons and driver? Any differences besides set up?

Ureka. Have always struggled with static hip turn; understanding for first time need for straight trail leg corresponding to sufficient tail bone turn.

Eric this was excellent thank you. I realise I don't turn my hips at all (made the adjustment as my hands were going too far in), which has resulted in nice clean straight shots but almost no power. Hybrid is doing 130-140 yds right now!

Do the shoulders turn hips. ? Also it is angular spiralling up verses just belt buckle turning right ?

this is gold it ensures proper hip turn with no sway....left knee down and in right knee post up but right butt cheek to target. you are forced to turn with stationary planted feet
