Boulette chou chou/ Mauritian Niouk Yen/ Chayote Dumplings

Boulette chou chou/ Mauritian Niouk Yen are steam dumplings.
It is a very popular street food in Mauritius. You can enjoy it on its own, with a sauce or in a soup.

Ingredients:
1.2 kg chou chou/ chayote (4 chayotes)
1 bunch of scallion
1 tbs sesame oil
8-9 tbs tapioca starch
12g dried shrimp
1 tsp fish sauce
1/2 tsp pepper (optional)

Français

Ingrédients:
1,2 kg chou chou/ chayotte (4 chayottes)
1 botte d'échalote
1 c.a.s d'huile de sésame
8-9 c.a.s de fécule de tapioca/ poudre cange
12g de crevettes séchées
1 c.a.c de sauce de poisson
1/2 c.a.c de poivre (facultatif)
