About Trailmakers:

In the toughest motoring expedition in the universe, you and your friends will build your own vehicles to cross a dangerous wasteland. Explore, crash horribly, use your wits to build a better rig, and get as far as you can with whatever spare parts you find on your way.

Welcome to the Ultimate Expedition!

Journey over grueling mountains, hazardous swamps, and bone-dry deserts on a distant world far from civilization - it is just you, your fellow adventurers and the amazing, jet-powered hover-buggy you built yourself. Explore, crash your vehicle, build a better one, and get as far as you can with whatever spare parts you find along your way.

Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.

Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.

Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.

Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Apparently there is a trick where, if you save the projectile and duplicate by dragging it from the saves, you dont get cross-wiring

here is a fun multiplayer idea:
-remove thrusters of current flak cannon,
-increase number of projectiles,
-make it more rapid shooting
-dm yzuei to build a bomber plane which is kinda big
-2 flak cannons vs 1 bomber plane

0:39 if the projectiles are little shotguns, that would make a grenade a tiny shotgun

You should use this in a Multiplayer Monday. Some sort of "Who Can Survive the Longest" type challenge with something to keep the planes close to the flak gun.

I know you can make the range ADJUSTABLE without going into the builder!
The accumulator can be adjusted if it is connected with you. So you can adjust the value of the accumulator and after you launched the rocket a NOR-Gate will increase the value until it reaches 100. Then it explodes with the help of a comparison-gate.

17:05 Ah yes, Scrapman casually combines like 40 flak cannons into one for the barrage to not be "kinda too much of a line".
Anti-air engineer of the year material right here

Video idea - WWII Bombing Mission - There are two teams of two, one team makes a bomber and tail gunner with block limit of 200 or something and are limited to 125-200 mph, and the other team makes a small interceptor 75 blocks, and an AAA cannon (with only large cannons). The teams will see who can dead the most damage to a target and maybe land safely on the aircraft carrier. Once one team finishes then they will swap.

Irony is, you've not made a flak cannon, you've made a hedgehog anti submarine mortar.

It's wild that we didn't get access to the actual flak cannons that the NPCs use in the airborne expansion. They should definitely add those (and more weapon types)

Flak is a german word and short for Flugabwehr Kanone (Anti-air cannon). The projectiles usually either have timed- or proximity fuses to explode near targets to increase hit propability either with shrapnells or explosives. There, everything you need to know about them

Scrapman my friend....if you need to make big logic stuff but if copy and pasting is unreliable make a module of wjat you want to copy, save it as a creation and keep spawning it in and attach to the first moduel

the flank cannon i believe was made for groups of planes not a single plane so if there was say 20 planes flying through the barrage of missiles i think if each one got hit by 1 rocket then the effect would be way greater and the rockets would also have a higher chance of hitting something in stead of however many rockets this is only trying to get 1 plane with the randomness they're shot with

Hey Scrapman,
I just wanted to tell you, there is a mod called "Custom missles mod".
Essentially, it has a tracker block that lets you make homing missles or AA turrets, and there is also a block that acts as an explosive, that you can program to explode when it gets close to the target, basically what you tried to do in this video.
Massive respect for doing it without mods. 🗿

A FLAK is the same as an AA-gun. It is the german abreviation and translates to Aircraft Anti Cannon.
You can have a big lets say 12, 8 cm FLAK (for airplane formations in high altitute) or something small like a 2 cm FLAK (for single airplanes close to you).

Technically you don't have to call it a cannon or gun, the letter K already does it for you.

What you build is some sort of Aerial-Mine-launcher like the british "Unrotated Projectile" from WW2.

i feel like some adjustments can be made (take mine as suggestions and not criticism):
1) since magnetically lunch the dynamites is better, why not strip down the rockets and make it just a piece of dynamite and an altitude sensor so that they explode at the same altitude?
2) to make things easier to hook up and more flexible to shoot, you could send an input to an accumulator (set to intervals) which sends the output to various comparators, each one connected to one row of dynamites, and each detachable block has a slightly different delay. In this way you could copy and paste each row, add a comparator for that line and hook up the detachable blocks to that comparator which is way less of a pain and it also allow you to shoot each row individually which, in a multiplayer monday, could be a way to put more pressure on enemy planes for longer

to make it work for different heights, you could seperate the seperation logic to the explosion logic, so one button to launch the rockets, and another to release them, the person controlling can then decide how long to wait before letting them go. if the timer is from the first control, they will explode on different altitudes when released at a different time

19:50 - I had the same reaction LMAO
We're not ready for this much power
Just watching it spew projectiles at this speed is awe-inducing
