The tradition of passing out treats originated from soul cakes, short bread raisin cookie that existed long before Halloween candy came into existence, during that time of the night of nights people passed out soul cakes to the loved ones that have died. It was a way to give honor to the ancestors that I’ve gone long before us, any Halloween fans do not know this. So no wonder it’s so important to pass out treats. 🍭🍬💜🧡🖤🎃
