Anchored on the theme, ‘Upgrade, Upskill and Upsize MSMEs,’ this year’s Summit serves as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration and inspiration, equipping MSMEs with the tools, insight and connections necessary to thrive in the dynamic and challenging business environment.

The National MSME Summit 2023 is spearheaded by the MSME Development Council in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Go Negosyo. Approximately 800 participants from the ranks of entrepreneurs, tech startups, academe, business experts, mentors and enablers are in attendance to share their knowledge and insights on the immense opportunities and challenges in today’s globally competitive business environment.

MSMEs have long been critical drivers of the Philippines’ economic development particularly in fostering growth, employment and income. They account for 99.58% of all businesses and employ 64.67% of their workforce based on the 2021 report of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). MSMEs are also expected to be the key drivers of innovation and sustainable economic growth in the post-pandemic Philippines.
