You basically could put the whole movie, it's so breathtakingly animated.

1:24 I watched this with my dad, a pilot, and when this shot came up he said,

“That is... perfect. I have flown over that city multiple times and it looks exactly like that.” Pixar has reached such levels of photorealism it’s almost hard to process when watching one of their films. This film is marvelous, and it’s one of my new favorite films of theirs.

Soul is definitely one of Pixar’s best, from the directing by Pete Doctor and Kemp Powers, the score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, the jazz by John Bastille, and especially the gorgeous animation on both Earth and the Great Before. While Finding Nemo is still my top favorite Pixar film, this is 100% a close second for me because of its story and it’s mature message about living life. It’s truly a masterpiece that I hope will be seen by many as the years go by and become a true classic in the likes of Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc., the Toy Story series, and the many other amazing films within Pixar’s catalog.
