Iโ€™m actually happy is about Snow, it gives another perspective to the story, we already know the story about a poor girl and a poor boy that will go to the games. You should be more opened minded, sheโ€™s the author SHE KNOWS WHATS SHES DOING!

I couldn't disagree more. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is the PERFECT title for this book. The moment we found out the title I knew exactly who this book was going to focus on. Throughout the entire trilogy, Katniss constantly points out that President Snow reminds her of a snake even saying "snake-like eyes". Finnick even says how Snow came to power was by "poison. The perfect weapon for a snake". So clearly this book is about Snow and how he came to power at such a young age as Finnick mentions. Also, the songbirds so clearly refer to the tributes or district members as songbirds are mentioned in the trilogy as well. In catching fire Katniss explains how there are songbirds in the mines that alert the miners of bad air when they aren't singing. When Wiress is singing "The mouse ran up the clock" and stops Katniss says, and I quote, "Our songbird has stopped singing". She also mentions how her mother's friend owned a songbird and gave it to her mother because she was reaped with Haymitch in the 50th Hunger Games. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is the best title. It very clearly gives an idea of the story and how songbirds (tributes) interact with snakes (Snow). Also, a "ballad" is a poem or a song that tells a story. It is typically a song that's been sung for generations and passes down the story. The title makes perfect sense. Also focusing on Snow is extremely interesting to me. Mags would be pretty boring ngl. It would be just another story of a tribute, but Snow isn't a tribute. Have you never wondered how Snow became president? Come on, there's a lot more to a story than the heroes. Villains always have a reason for doing something why not find out that reason.

From the perspective of a writer, when you make a trilogy, you need a lot of lore and character backgrounds to be explained. Not fully, but has to be mentioned. We know these characters, we know the world, and we know the story. Do you really want to read what you already know?

Man, if your a true fan, idk why your hating on it so much. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

The absolute best Harry Potter book was book 6. Why? Voldemort character development. Voldemort is the most evil character in wizarding world and it absolutely added to the overall story to understand his history and motives. The same applies here. A story is well rounded when we truly understand the villain. To see the progression from a somewhat normal person to the most vile character in a series is just good story development.

When you're a real fan and don't complain about how a book cover if it looks "beautiful" or not, just deal with it, life's not about the way it looks but the way it tells it's own story but not saying rude words. I'm actually enjoying it because of how he went through this journey of being who he turned into. uwu

I think that fact that it is 600 pages means we are more likely to see a decent into madness kind of deal. He's so young in this book that even if it painted him in a good light it's still far off enough to know he's not the same person in the trilogy. And if this book is successful maybe we will get more prequels not about him or even go back further.

I would have loved if the book centred around a completely random hunger games but one with an area/theme we havenโ€™t see yet (since the 74th and 75th games both took place in types or forests)

Just because Snow is the protagonist doesnโ€™t mean heโ€™ll be a hero lol. This is cringe.

I loveeee ur channel and I subscribed. I've read alot of theory's on the book and here's on of mine I hope I like..sazanne Collins will explain alot about the dark days and the war and the uprising of the districts also president snow. here's it president snow becomes a mentor for the 10th hunger games a girl like Katniss gets picked and snow mentors her before she goes into the games. and they FALL IN LOVE but.... She is related to Katniss so maybe Katniss grandma and snow will have history with katniss's grandma spoilers her name is heroine Everdeen. The sad part is when she goes into the hunger games he won't be able to save her oor will he?

hopefully there is a big twist snow swaps tributes or quits being a mentor or does well enough to mentor in the eleventh games the one with mags in it but not win the tenth games, or the district 12 tributes die before the games start by falling off the roof, hope this prequel does not really suck and is unoriginal.
