Was inspired to brew this recipe because our lime tree is producing ridiculous amounts of limes just going to waste, and can confirm this recipe is excellent! For anyone else wondering, I brewed this recipe using the juice of 10 limes from the tree instead of the 1kg of purée and tastes like just the right amount

It's awesome that you released this recipe, my girlfriend just had a cream ale last night at the local craft bar and loved it so I am going to have to brew some of this! Thank You!

Thanks for another great video David, I am going to do this one for a July Brewfest here, and I think it will do very well! 🍻

I bought the "
Skjærgårdsøl" some time back which seems to be a "variant" of this one. Good easy drinking on hot summerdays(maybe to easy), will give this one a go too and like the idea with split batch and lime in one raspberry in the other for extra refreshment. Thx for keeping good videos on howto brew beer.

Thanks for another great informative video. Have never tried a Cream Ale before. And although you say it's a summer beer, as we are in winter here in NZ, and I have so many ripe limes on my tree... it's seems like a perfect time to try this recipe!

Thinking of doing a “Berries and Cream” cream ale with Barbe Rouge and mosaic hops. Trying to decide if I should do a hop stand or dry hop or both to really push those berry flavors and aromas. Not necessarily to style but I’m more looking for something fun and different to drink than the standard pale ale and IPAs I normally brew.

Your channel are an mazing trove of information. Invaluable information for a real beginner like me. What I haven’t found is what we poor people without kegs should do? I’ve done some brewing before where I put auger in the bottle before filling it up. But how should I think when using your recipes? I guess the taste won’t be the same when doing a second fermentation in the bottle but I haven’t got spare money to invest in a keg at the moment.

I like using Gladfields Maize 🌽Malt in a Cream Ale.
Adds a really nice flavour to a Cream Ale.

Have use Flaked as well just I find malted more tasty.

Hi David,

Great Video, can’t wait to try this myself ready for summer in Melbourne, Australia. I can’t seem to find your recipe on Brewfather. Any chance you have a link to it.

Honestly! Try this beer not with a lime pure but with calamansi. The end result is just insane.. ❤

Hi David,
I enjoy this recipe quite a bit, and i have a fresh batch based on a variation of this recipe on keg. I am considering entering it in the sørlandet ølfestivals bottle competition, but not without your consent.

Do you mind? I thought i’d give you credit in the beer-name 🤗

Hi! Brewed this one 7 days ago. The fermentation slowed down after a couple of days and after 6 days i took a reading at 1.020. Not much happend after I added the lime pure. I forgot to add yeast nutrient. Can that be the the reason? Fermenting under pressure 0.5 bar. Is there something I can do to get it "started" again?

This looks right up my street. One to add to the ever-growing list of recipes I want to do. My only concern is exposing the beer to oxygen when adding the lime extract - I wonder if there is any way around that?

Hi David. Do you have any recommendations for the amount of lime juice to use if purée is not available. Another great video! Thanks

Would RAHR/OIO toasted wheat flakes work in this recipe? It is the only brand I have access to. Also, I remember reading or watching another YouTube video from someone claiming adding lime causes the beer to go bad quicker. What are your thoughts about this?
