I thought it was super cool when Bruce figured who the last gangster was. Once he drew the red lips I was like “No frigging way”. She’s going after the Joker? Mask of the Phantasm really out did itself as the first Animated Batman film.

I mean, Andrea had to have known of Joker's rep, did she really think she was just gonna kill him that easy?

Even though we all know that what Andrea was doing as The Phantasm was wrong, this was one of those rare moments where you had two people who you shouldn't be rooting for at all but deep down, you really wanted to see The Joker get exactly what he deserved and it was executed perfectly. Mega props to The Joker for figuring out the identity of The Phantasm pretty fast and pretty much dissing her entire gimmick. I thought the movie did an excellent job in connecting the past with Bruce, Andrea and Jack Napier together while showing you what all 3 would go on to become down the road years later, one became a true force for good, one became consumed with venegance and one became the ultimate evil. Excellent storytelling and continuity.

Batman really has a penchant for attracting people with vendettas, doesn't he? Especially those with vengeance towards the Joker. He basically rejects them for the sake of his morals, yet he cries when they disappear after they fail to kill the Joker. Bruce, why are you so hard to persuade into letting anyone kill the Joker?

She tried to scared him and later end up with his life, but she saw that the joker was far too evil to win, specially when he turned on the airplane engine, that would it kill her instantly with no mercy.

That combo at 1:15 is probably the most underrated sickest animated combo

The one thing I will never get over is how her just removing her cowl somehow magically changes her physical form from an imposing male looking figure, reminiscent of Batman to a dainty feminine form. Her arms, legs, and body shape just shrink in size, and change with literally zero explanation. You could possibly argue that the torso had a padded shape, but her arms and legs definitely didn't, and couldn't be easily altered just by removing the cowl. I love the movie, but that's one bit I just can't ignore. It just bugs me on a personal level.
