These are adults, please dont patronize them, they are not children. They know they are not supposed to sit there. they know its hot outside. they know they havent taken a shower. they know they just came out the hospital. they know whats in their cart. Its super intrusive and redundant, even if you mean well. Just try to get straight to the point, any basic formalities is fine. But asking all these other questions is insanely rude.
