I tried it, but I was doing it too slow. You need to do it rapidly for it to work!

Perhaps one of the best things on a Mopar is the ability for the driver to retrieve their own codes! That's why I loved my 80s GMs, where all you needed was a paper clip across two pins in the OBD plug to read codes. P0600 is a serial communication error (CANBUS) so it **could** be the any of the idiotic modules doing stuff it's not supposed to, even down to the more enhanced stock radios. I'd lean towards a failing BCM since it appears to be common in this generation as well as previous models, maybe it could be that epic failure called the Totally Integrated Power Module that plagues most Dodges.

Just under 40k on it? Sounds about right. Chrysler took everything that was good about these vans over several decades, and flushed it down the toilet. Random skipping of the flashers, throttle lag, brake light lag (on AND off), backup light lag (on AND off), ridiculous tranny upshifts (why 4th gear at 23 mph going uphill with serious predetonation ping, and why do I have to mash the throttle to get a downshift?), and the wonderful HVAC doors cycle every few minutes with the ignition off. :-O

2015 Grand Caravan, just hit 28k, lifter/valve tap at idle.
2016 Town & Country, 37k, has been in the shop seven times since October, lifter/valve tap. Transmission replaced, BCM failed TWICE, a power slider went south, water pump failed, power liftgate making grinding noises when closing.

I ***SOOOO*** badly want to love these vans, but I can't.

On my old Ford if the engine light was flashing it was okay to drive, if it was constant you explode and die. Without the dongle to connect to the computer there was no way to tell what kind of non fatal thing was wrong but it was pretty nifty with an obvious tell.

I did this and it flashed but I was too slow. 🤦‍♀️ now if I try it says done. Is there anyway I can go back and find it?

My 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan didnt give an error code. it was all " - - - - - " but then engine light is present

If you get a p0600 code it may also be 06DD witch means you oil presser switch may be stuck in off position and will need to be changed it’s a Common problem

Not sure if this is true, but I was getting then --Done--.

I did an engine light reset (turn the ignition to Run position, press gas pedal three times, turn off.) Then the check engine light was gone and didn't come back. I read that sometimes water might have gotten in somewhere so it triggered the engine light, after evaporation, it's fine. But the light won't reset on it's own. You have to manually reset the light.

Hope this helps someone else.

I have a 2012 dodge caravan, I have a check engine light on and I did this it showed dashed line for couple of seconds and then said DONE, I have no idea what that means and the check engine light is still on. Any ideas?
