Oceans are rising because of all of the new islands that are being created by underwater volcanoes. Every nation should build desalination plants and convert salt water to drinking water. Someone could get very rich from building these plants and help the planet at the same time. 😊

One thing is unclear to me.. how is the melting ice shelf increasing fresh water, since it's frozen sea water, or is the ice shelf floating glacier water that's reached the sea? Floating sea water ice would have the same salt ratio as ocean water, but I would expect a glacier formed on land would not..

When folks ask why the ice capes are melting, their not. There never was a Ice breaker 150 years ago, now there are 1000's that never let the polar caps reharden. Think about it.
