Voyager 1 Sends STRANGE SIGNALS :Is Voyager Dying?

Показать описание
45 years after its launch, the Voyager 1 probe is presenting a strange problem that has puzzled the members of the NASA mission.
The spacecraft, despite all its time in operation, operates in good shape 23 billion kilometers away from the planet. However, the data that its system delivers to Earth does not reflect or match the probe's operations.
So... What has been happening with Voyager-1?
The fault has to do with Voyager-1's Attitude Articulation and Control System (AACS) that keeps the spacecraft and its antenna in the proper orientation. And the AACS appears to be working fine, as the spacecraft receives commands, acts on them, and sends science data back to Earth with the same signal strength as usual. However, the telemetry data it is sending back are very different.
The NASA statement does not specify when the problem began or how long it has lasted.
The agency also notes that the probe is now in interstellar space, a high-radiation environment that could pose an extra challenge for this spacecraft.
In addition, the problem has not triggered any fault protection system that could put Voyager in safe mode, and the signal has not weakened, suggesting that the antenna is still in its normal position, pointing toward Earth.
However, the situation will continue to be monitored, as it is possible that another system could produce invalid data. It takes approximately two days for a message from Earth to reach Voyager and subsequently get a response from the spacecraft.
