Raspberry Pi3 XPT2046 Review/Setup

This is just to follow up on my Previous unboxing video.
I ran into issues on setting up the screen so figured i'd share what I learned with the world. Thanks for watching.

How many of you would like to control this screen a bit more?

I have modified mine to allow me to turn it on/off. And best part the screen will be off when the pi is turned off.(no more unplugging!)
It's a simple mod that should work for most users.

The dimming is from 3.2V down from 5V but could be fixed with a stepup and possible even brighter settings.

i got error "kernel panic-not syncing: VFS: unable to mount root fs"
changing
root=/dev/mmcblk0p2
to
root=/dev/mmcblk0p7
in cmdline.txt
solve the issue.

lol did u do this live? unless you are blessed with fiber its usually pretty easy to get a cable modem or dsl modem to issue you a different wan ip

I used this method and now rpi don't start. Says unable to mount root fs on unknown block(179, 2)

For those running a NOOBS-install, please note that the touchscreen will only start showing information AFTER the boot menu automatically starts loading the OS in which you have installed the screen. So expect to wait until the OS has started booting AFTER the NOOBS OS-choice screen...

Excellent work. I got this to work on the SD card with a 32 bit os on pi 4. A 64bit raspbian on usb disk end up with a white screen. Edited the cmdline but no luck. Any suggestions ?

I would like to know how I adjust the brightness of the screen. by raspbian. i'm using the same lcd screen.
