More than 118,000 units of blood needed in 2021: Singapore Red Cross

Singapore is expected to use more than 118,000 units of blood this year. That is about 24,000 litres of blood and it is coming from just 75,000 donors. That is less than 2 per cent of Singapore's residential population. Singapore's blood stocks are currently healthy, but each time COVID-19 restrictions are tightened, supply falls 13 to 15 per cent. Prakash Menon, Director of the Blood Donor Programme at the Singapore Red Cross, and Vanessa Mostafa, a blood donor of 10 years, spoke to CNA about blood donation in Singapore.

We are told by some that No One Owes you A Living. So, if blood is such a prized commodity then hospitals should pay a high price for our blood right? Who is getting priority for blood ? How to audit this? Blood should be paid for especially the rich should pay an arm or a leg to get the blood they need for health. Rich people does not mean they are good people. Sg elites should pay high price for blood

Just as the fellow here said, the message I saw on some websites is that the blood of the vaccinated person has a color difference that can be recognized by the naked eye, and the difference is very large. The darker blood is from the person who has been vaccinated.

The information I saw before the outbreak this time was that researchers and doctors discovered that the patient's red blood cells and platelets became unhealthy, deformed and in a weakened state after the vaccination.

So, if the vaccination rate of young people is very high, and the blood of the vaccinators cannot be used, even worse than those of hepatitis B carriers, how will the future medical system survive? Does it mean that patients who need fresh and reliable blood must pay high costs? The bad chain effect can be said to be an extension of another disaster. Who will bear the political and even criminal responsibility?

*Can donate blood once a person is dead or drained out some healthy blood from a corpse? Has this been done before since human organ can be donated once already dead? Can CNA ask Dr Leong on this?*

Recently i was fined $70 for parking outside the parking slot along an empty road during lunch time.. there no single or double lines.. in only parked for 5 mins just to buy a drink at the nearby store.. i don’ believe in earning easy money or just to show the work to meet some quota or what.. it’s a shame if Singaporean could be so heartless especially during these trying times.. that ciould as well be anyone hard earned daily salary taken senselessly.. just saying..

Nice video!! Very engaging from beginning to end. Nevertheless, businesses and investment are the easiest way to make money irrespective of which party makes it to the oval office.
