Mike, the boxer, was in a class of his own.

It’s a beautiful thing when someone lifts you up and doesn’t betray you.

Mike held cus so highly in regard. Cus means everything to Mike. You can hear it in his voice whenever he talks about him. He almost reverts back to the little kid that first met cus

The Mike Tyson story started with Bobby Stewart who first saw something in Mike and then he introduced Mike to Cus D, amato who was an old man with a head full of incredible boxing knowledge and wisdom who saw enough to take Mike under his wing and pass on that incredible knowledge and change boxing history.
It was the allignment of boxing stars that only happens once every so often.
Thank you Bobby Stewart for setting Mike on that path.

Cus and Mike are the greatest example of the Teacher and the student. He respected Cus so much that he wouldn’t go against anything or question anything he said but he also feared him as well. You can tell by the way when people ask him about Cus even long after he’s dead. He still seeks his approval from beyond the grave.

Mike has such a humble sweet soul. Thank you God he was rescued and given the love to aspire to the greatness he did.❤

Mike's unwavering loyalty to Cus D'Amato legacy is so awesome. No relationships are 100% perfect but he'll die with any receipts out of loyalty because he sees the larger contribution he received. Much respect.

I can see the sadness in mikes eyes when his mentor is mentioned. Pure love ❤️

The emotions Mike gets when he talks about cus is so pure and authentic. He was much more than a trainer. He literally became his father.

Mike I can confidently say you made him proud, and also gave him the most honorable and memorable legacy in boxing ❤. Couldn’t have done it without your talent and you couldn’t have done it without his knowledge, it was meant to be history

My childhood hero. He made me cry more than once. Now I can't listen to him talk without doing it. I so admire this dude. Every saint had a past, every sinner has a future. God bless him.
