This arrangement is excellent. I anticipate it will be as entertaining for performers as it is for listeners.

Interesting arrangement! Much more emphasis on being goofy, which isn't a bad thing, but I admit I miss the lovely little trills that got simplified and turned into a flute-clarinet call-and-response. Though that itself works just fine too!

The 2nd/3rd clarinets and french horns are bored out of their mind

It’s a quick favorite at MIT we love a good whacky Russian March

I like how the trumpet solo in the beginning says "opt. solo" implying the piece can be played without that solo. LOL

Why change the key?! It's literally already in B-flat! What more do you want!?

I don't see a Piccolo scored, yet I hear it...

At the time my high school band was practicing this piece, my teacher wanted to let my friend and I try the piccolo trumpet for either the solo in this piece or another piece, I can't remember. We were playing multiple pieces with "March" in the name at that time. He let my friend try the piccolo trumpet since my friend was the one with the solo and I would just be the back up just in case, but then my teacher forgot to let me try it....

Edit: actually I just realized a year later it might've been a different piece that we played at the same concert.
Edit#2: nope never mind. it was this piece.

What did Prokofiev ever do to Hal Leonard to deserve this insult?
