OVER-THE-RHINE, Ohio (WKRC) - As fears over the coronavirus continue to grow, many local businesses are changing the way they operate.
“It’s a crazy time obviously and we’re concerned about our customers and our employees and the overall well-being of our city,” said Michelle Hobbs.
She opened Pet Wants, a dog and cat food store, ten years ago, and is doing everything she can to keep her customers healthy.
“We’re running our fan all day and it’s going to be a little more expensive to do something like that, but overall is going to be a good thing,” said Hobbs.
After seeing the number of coronavirus cases in Ohio grow, Hobbs also ordered special UV lights.
“Those are the same types of lights you’ll see in surgery rooms and dental offices to kill viruses,” said Hobbs.
In addition, only two people will be allowed in the store at a time.
“The two-person minimum is really just to make our customers feel as though they’re in a place that cares about their safety,” said Hobbs.
Pet Wants also offers delivery for those choosing to stay home during this time.
