True statement that “customers that spend more money are nicer and also easier to please.” I have a listing that has all 5 star reviews with people purchasing multiple items and then I get a person who bought one of the cheapest version of the product that gave me a 4 star review for that item stating it was “smaller than expected” even though I clearly state the dimensions in the listing and product description! So annoying.

Opened shop in Oct ‘23 currently selling Excel & Google finance and health-related spreadsheets. I created a very detailed spreadsheet for my shop to monitor EVERY metric, including a detailed profit calculator. But, for the last YEAR I have been tracking 5 shops selling the same products. I document their sales every single day. A lot of work but I felt it was critical to have that information. 3 are high volume and 2 are low volume. So, I know with 100% accuracy what is possible. And the data shows that 120 sales per day for an AVERAGE month is very doable. I can also see how sales change for end of December and beginning of January. (HUGE increase) After 174 days on Etsy, I just hit 100 sales today (only had 10 sales in the first 3 months). YTD conversion rate is 4.57%, which I am very happy with. So, I am focusing on getting more traffic and, hopefully, keep the same CR. Have been running Etsy ads since 12/1/23.

I put a lot of effort into my packaging, so I put a Polaroid photo of the item on the front so that the receiver can open the packaging, but the person who bought it will get to see what it looks like without ruining the packaging.

1:04:50 Biggest problem is that they say "gift from Etsy". Which isn't true and very misleading. It's a gift from the person who gave it to them or its a gift from our shop. In no way or form did Etsy give anything. Really an ugly move from Etsy imo
