First book I read by this author. I think it made me really think about class and privilege in a new way. I think making Bree have acting abilities was a good trope (also the fact that her husband is a Lawyer, who is also in a sense an actor). I want to read Never Have I Ever now. Thanks - good review, even though I liked it more than you did.

Same, as far as I loved NHIE by this author, & have enjoyed some of her others, but I’m 40% in on this one & I’m struggling at bit & still on the fence about it. Congrats on your new house! I could totally see this being a dramatic suspense novel. It could be I gave it a higher rating because I havent read a thriller in a while. Who knows! I didnt care for the ending either! I hate endings like that too!

Wow at first I thought you were going to end up giving this a glowing review but it sounds like it really wasn't good. It sounds like an intriguing concept and it's a shame that there wasn't enough meat on the bone to keep you interested. Considering you eem to have a good eye for this kind of thing I definitely think I wil avoid this one.

I just wanted to suggest a book I think you would like especially since you like thrillers and mysteries. Rust & Stardust by T. Greenwood. It’s based on a true story and it sucked me in! I had seen it around randomly on YouTube and alway thought it was fantasy novel 😂. Had no idea it was a thriller/crime book. But anyways had to throw in a suggestion to you. Good luck with the move!
